    See emails!
Looks like we can have the meeting at Becky Reed’s House which is great.
Am not sure if she can put any of us up.
It looks like it takes 45 mins by public transport from her house to the venue
It would be great if we knew how many are coming to the SG meeting.
So far – Katherine, Catherine, Irene, Nicky, Pam and me.

    Yes, to main account Becky.
Can I encourage all SG members to pay deposit – and tell Linda which days they plan to come – by end of Jan.
    Have just transferred mine!
I want to go for the whole week too!
    Many thanks.

I also cannot do it. I already feel too much of my time is spent emailing, reading stuff on FB etc. Who are Wemidwives?

Good idea Linda – am with Nicky at the moment. We will ask Petra who has access to queries. Nicky not sure who has this role.
    Irene gets the membership queries
I get the local group queries
Perhaps you are the person who gets the general queries?

Yes I agree we need to take out the Hunt/Titcombe phrase.
And perhaps tone down the criticism of RCM a little.
    But otherwise it is great.

So I think everyone knows I have booked an AirBnB place for 8 of us to stay (Bev, Nicky, Becky, Katherine, Catherine, Donna, Margaret and me),on Friday 24th. Pam has booked in to a separate B and B.
I have spoken to Bev and Nicky and we are going to have the SG meeting at the same place as the National Meeting in Birkenhead. We are hoping everyone will arrive there by 6pm with food to share, and the meeting will start promptly at 7pm and last for 2 hours.
I have told the AirBnB host that we will arrive about 9.30pm but some people may arrive earlier in the afternoon to drop their luggage off. Please let me know if you will be doing this.
I have also said we would like breakfast – toast, cereals, fruit etc is provided.
Bev – is there parking near to the venue?
    See you next week x

    Hi Katherine
I cannot find the minutes of the September SG meeting.
The AGM minutes are there, but not the SG minutes.
There is also a file of ‘Actions from the SG meeting’.
Can you post them please and email them as Pam can still not access the forum.
    Many thanks

Pam and I would like to stay at Riverhill – I think I reserved our places there right at the beginning of all this!
We are going to get a train to Birkenhead North on Friday morning.
Looking forward to seeing you all.
Let us know where to meet everyone and at what time for an evening meal and the SG meeting.
    Hilary x

I cannot stay on the Saturday night – I did not realise there was a campaign meeting so now have something else arranged.
Pam and I need to book our train soon so would be useful to know where too!
I think it is a long way to keep on driving 45 mins – and some of us would need a lift.
However I think it is cheaper than the first option?
How many would be staying on the Sat night?

Yes I think that is a good idea.
I think 5 is enough for the moment.

I will forward the info by email, but I think the free places are for Sheffield Midwives – I have forwarded it to our local Sheffield group.
Would really liked to have gone but I know I would have to take AL. Had to take it for the RCM guidelines meeting in Nottingham and probably will have to do so for RCM Conference too 😏

So you did not buy a ticket Becky? Do we have to change the name of the stall holder to Becky? Did you get some kind of confirmation Linda when you booked the stall?
Yes there is a meeting after this event as well as RCM conference.
Please let us know any ideas you want us to put forward

There seems to be a feeling that we should not be promoting the petition in its current form?
I know there was talk of rewriting it.
I have heard that JT will be protesting outside the conference?
    Let us know!
