KeymasterForum Description and Rules
This is a forum for members of the Association of Radical Midwives.
Aims:
The forum aims to discuss topics relating to midwifery, pregnancy, childbirth and the postnatal period. The forum is for all ARM members whether they are midwives, student midwives, aspiring midwives, other birth workers and activists, mothers, fathers, academics and everyone involved with or interested in the aims of ARM.Clinical Questions:
We welcome posts asking questions about clinical matters relating to pregnancy and birth but we can’t give individualised care or advice on this forum and no comment should be taken as such; please see your own midwife or other health professional for health advice. When replying to questions, particularly about clinical issues, members should be careful to post information rather than individual advice in their replies. ARM members who are clinicians should be careful to follow the NMC Code https://www.nmc.org.uk/standards/code/Always be respectful and kind to each other:
We want to facilitate healthy open discussion and differences of opinion are bound to occur. Please remember that posts written on a forum can come across as more aggressive in tone than the poster intends so always double check your wording before posting. If you’re feeling particularly heated about a subject, it may be wise to reflect on a post before creating it. We won’t tolerate personal insults or abuse of any kind.Anti-discrimination policy:
Please be respectful of others at all times including matters of sex, gender identity, ability or disability, race, ethnic origin, religious beliefs or lack of religious beliefs.Bullying:
Please let the admins know if you feel anyone has breached any of the above rules, or if you feel you’ve been bullied. This is an anti-bullying zone.Attachments and links:
We are allowing limited attachments for the purpose of sharing small documents only. Please don’t upload pictures or large documents as large files can cause the whole website to slow down. Where possible please share a link instead of an attachment eg a link to a Dropbox file is preferable to an attachment. If you wish to share a large document or photo please ask the admins and we can help you to share in a way that won’t crash our website!Ways to follow posts:
You can click the subscribe/favourites box at the top right hand of the post. You can also tick the ‘notify me of follow-up replies via email’. Both these options should ensure that you receive email notifications to keep you up-to date with posts you’re following.Pin to home screen on phone:
Get easy access to your forum by pinning it to your home screen. Use the Chrome browser to open the forum. Then open the Chrome menu by clicking on the three dots in the top right of the screen. You will see the option to ‘Add to home screen’ – click that and the forum button will appear by magic on your phone home screen.Questions about the forum:
We welcome questions – no question is too daft or obvious. If you don’t understand something, you can bet you’re not the only one. So please ask your questions here and benefit other members.
