Professional Regulation Consultation

Please find attached consultation on professional regulation – we have certainly been ahead of the zeitgeist – I believe this is hugely significant and that we need to put our energy into promoting a separate midwifery regulator within an overarching professional regulators body before the powerful and influential present a “done deal”. Of course they mat not take any notice of the views of those respondents to the consultation (84% in favour of retaining supervision were ignored) however we have to get our view presented powerfully before the door slams shut and a new regime exists.
