Hats on babies immediately after birth really annoy me. I love that newborn smell that seeps from the babies head as you cuddle him. Powerful pheromones in action. How widespread is this practice when there is no indication for using one?

A misguided attempt to keep babies warm. My local hospital had a guideline that states all babies should be hatted. Followed by parents then told on discharge that they shouldn’t hat indoors. :wacko:
